Happy Labour Day weekend!
I'd like to take this opportunity to provide a final update about the ice plant replacement project now that the work is essentially complete.
In 16 months, the project team has chosen vendors, raised all necessary funds, and had the new ice plant installed. The scope of the work was large as it included removal of the old plant, construction and preparation for the new plant, installation and successful testing. We are now ready to 'flip the switch' on September 15th.
I'd like to extend special thanks to the core project committee members - Roger Hay, Mike Kuley, Mike Ash, Bill Shea and Graeme Robson - without whom we would not have been able to accomplish this amazing feat in just over one year! Other club members have also contributed and I extend thanks to all who participated.
We have prepared a video to thank all of our very generous donors which will be played at the Kineto Theatre later this month. Thanks to Alaina George and her creative abilities for this video!
