& the Board of Directors.

A special thanks to our major sponsors. First on that list is you our members, who have contributed over $130,000 directly, and through volunteer efforts with raffles, labour and special events have raised an additional $90,000.

Our major external sponsors have made a outstanding contribution to the project as follows:

We sincerely thank these and other organizations, such as Suncor, Canadian National, Lambton Mutual, Jericho Wind Farm, the Optimist Club of Forest and Nextera for their support.

Background
Phase 1 of our Modernization Project was completed in 2011. Members and guests have been enjoying the new amenities for 4 full seasons. Phase 1 was made possible through the generous financial support of local curlers, businesses, and granting agencies, including the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Forest Community Foundation.

Maintaining an up to date, modern facility is critical to providing a positive experience for local curlers and to meet today's standards for a public facility. Forest Curling has increased its membership while other facilities have experienced declines. We are an important recreational and social asset to the community. We believe our willingness to invest in the future and a strong volunteer commitment has contributed to our success.

At the annual general meeting in April 2015, it was proposed, and the membership agreed, to proceed with Phase 2 of our Modernization Project in 2018. At the AGM in 2016, it was agreed, to accelerate the project start date to April 2017, to mitigate increasing project costs, which are now estimated at $457,200.

Phase 2 Scope
